With Trevaly, we aim to change that. Trevaly was born out of the idea that exploring the Maldives should be accessible and affordable for everyone. Travel shouldn’t be reserved for those who can afford luxury resorts, and experiencing the islands shouldn’t come with a hefty price tag. I believe that everyone should have the opportunity to experience the real Maldives while also supporting its culture, traditions, and local communities.
As a Maldivian myself, I’ve met many people who want to visit the Maldives but don’t know how. Most people only know the Maldives as a luxury destination, and budget or solo travel here is still a new concept. That’s when I knew I wanted to create something different.
Trevaly’s vision is to showcase a variety of local stays, from private rooms to homestays, and create opportunities for locals to become hosts. This way, travelers can connect with the true spirit of the Maldives while supporting local families and helping preserve the island way of life.
